This absolutely breaks my heart. This little boy's name is Shane Bernier. Many of you may have heard of him, but he is 7 years old and lives in Lancaster, Ontario. When he was 5, he was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Leukemia and was doing well until June, where he experienced a relapse. Instead of asking for money, toys, or a trip to Disney World, his one wish is to make it into the Guiness Book of World Records for recieving the most birthday cards. His goal is 350 million cards. Each card he recieves will give him that much more hope. His birthday is May 30th and the record begins on May 1st. The rules are that he has to recieve the card between those dates and it has to be a store bought card...(homemade doesn't count, but will still be appreciated!) You can get real birthday cards at Walmart for 48 cents...which I think we can all spare. I think this is very cool and the fact that this little boy still has a positive outlook, warms my heart. I will be sending a card for sure...maybe even two. It will only take a few minutes of your time and about a dollar to help make Shane's wish come true!!If you want to send Shane a card, the address is:
