The movie is based on the 1970's plane crash of the entire Marshall University football team, coaching staff, and boosters except an assistant coach and four starting players. This tradgedy is remebered in the small West Virginia and the movie a tribute to those who were killed in the crash, the surviving families, and the others who carried on the Marshall football tradition. I cried all the way through even though I got to watch Matthew Fox in a great role, but it was truly an inspiring movie.
